Shelley Kriegler

Dr. Shelley Kriegler was a middle and high school math teacher for 20 years. She then joined the UCLA Mathematics Department as the Director of the Math Content Programs for Teachers where she created and taught courses for teachers who wanted to earn authorizations to teach middle school mathematics. She retired from UCLA in 2010. Shelley is currently President of the Center for Mathematics and Teaching, a small nonprofit education group dedicated to creating engaging mathematics curriculum for all students (especially English learners and special learners) and supporting their teachers with professional development. Shelley is primary author of Introduction to Algebra and MathLinks, two middle school programs that have been adopted in California and used by more than 40,000 students.
